Concert Dress
- Young ladies - dress, blouse and skirt, blouse and dress pants, dress shoes. No blue jeans or athletic shoes. Be colorf
-Young men - white shirt, long or bow tie, dark pants, dress shoes, coordinating socks. No blue jeans, t shirts or athletic shoes. Suits, sweaters or sport coats are optional.
Student Responsibilities:
Practice, practice, practice. Regular focused practice is essential for success on any instrument. This also allows the student to make a quality contribution to the ensemble of which they are a part. At least one-half hour a day is required to advance these skills.
- Attendance at all performances and rehearsals
- All students are an integral part of the concert.
- Missing a performance is missing a final exam. Note: some allowances are made with advance notification
- Do your best at all times. - a sincere effort in all endeavors
Parent Responsibilities
- Encourage practice, maintain instrument condition, attend performances.
Grading:
based on participation, periodic playing tests and attendance at performances.
Music Club:
The parent group that allows all these wonderful things to happen more smoothly. Parents volunteer, as their schedule allows, to provide support services for the music groups(i.e. chaperone, set up a reception, decorate before a concert, help decide the direction of funds generated through the music club, etc.). Meetings are once a month following the PTA Meeting and last approximately one hour.
