57th Annual Arcadia Festival of Bands
Saturday, November 20, 2010
The 57th Annual Arcadia Festival of Bands hosted by Arcada High School, Dana, First Avenue and Foothills Middle Schools will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2010.
Over 40 marching bands will be competing in one of the oldest and most prestigious band review parades in Southern California marching down Baldwin Avenue south of Huntington Drive. Immediately following the parade, schools will assemble at Salter Stadium at Arcadia High School for the Percussion Performance and Band Review Awards Ceremony.
The evening field show at Citrus College Stadium in Glendora will showcase many of Southern California’s finest bands in competition including the last performance of the season for Arcadia High School Marching Band and Color Guard.
Over 400 volunteers are needed to make this event run smoothly and to make a memorable experience for our students and all participants. The Festival of Bands would not be a success without the City Council of Arcadia, the Arcadia Police Department, the Arcadia School District, Santa Anita Race Track, every participating school, director, volunteer, parent and student joining us the Saturday before Thanksgiving.
